The ABLeS, a group based out of Bolivar, MO, sing and play their own instruments and have a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary instrumentation that appeals to a variety of audiences. Their musical style has been influenced by many genres of music including country, bluegrass, rock, rhythm and blues and gospel. Vocalists and pianist, Lisa Childress, was nominated by the Academy of Country Music as “New Female Vocalist of the Year,” was on the ACM Awards Show and had 5 Billboard chart records. She also performed in Branson, MO, Myrtle Beach, SC and toured in Charley Pride’s band as piano player and singer for several years. Brett Jarvis, is the back bone to this band playing drums and singing harmony. He has toured throughout the United States and Canada playing with national acts including T. Graham Brown, Johnny Lee, Leona Williams, Bill Medley (The Righteous Bros.) and played many years in Branson, MO and Myrtle Beach, SC. Joining Brett and Lisa in the band is their 20 year old daughter, Addie Jarvis. She sings lead vocals, harmonies and plays guitar and ukulele. Addie recently appeared on Branson Country USA, which is broadcast nationwide on television and radio. Most recently, Addie has been honing her songwriting and performs several of her compositions in The ABLeS’ live show. Steve Wood, plays guitar, steel guitar and sings some of the best classic country songs you’ll ever hear. Steve’s roots began in bluegrass music where he graced the stage with Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs. Steve has also toured extensively with country greats, David Allan Coe and George Jones. Bobby Brown joined The ABLeS in 2020 and is a multi-talented musician and singer in the band playing, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo and dobro. He started his long musical career at the Ozark Opry and The Main Street Opry in Osage Beach, MO. He also toured with Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley for several years and continued playing with Moe at his theater in Branson, MO
